Hello

I finished the translation into de_ch and join the po file, as I got lost with the information given at https://libreplanet.org/wiki/GPG_guide/Translation_Guide how to generate the html. I hope someone else can do it - even if he does not speak german. If a non german speaker is doin it a am willing to check it, after it is done.

If anyone proofreads the texts: I have used de_ch. Compared to de_de or de_at, there are some small differences in vocabulary (words that are more common in the south than in the north and vice versa) and the word e-mail is neuter here, while it is feminine further north. It's probably like American and British English. Furthermore, we do not write ß, but always ss.

Best regards
Etienne

That's wonderful!
Don't worry about generating the German pages. I can do it, and push the result to the enc repo. Maybe tonight. This will make proofreading easier.

All the best,
Thérèse
Let us know when you have Thérèse, I think we still have to get the tech team to remove the redirect.

Thanks

I regenerated the HTML after fixing a few glitches, and pushed it to the
enc repo along with the PO. I don't think it is quite ready to go live,
so the redirect can stay for the time being.

Here are the changes:

* Quite a few msgstr's ended with '\n' whereas the msgid doesn't.
I removed them because this is a fatal error.

* One msgstr had an English string from another paragraph. I removed it.
  This string remains untranslated.

* I untranslated the copyright line, per gnu.org instructions.

* I also untranslated Journalism++, because this is the name of a
company. (By the way, they refer to themselves as 'J++'. We could
use this abbreviation in the footer, don't you think Zoë?)

Etienne, you said that 'ß' is written 'ss' in Swiss German, but here is
what I found with "grep 'ß' esd-de.po":

Meinungsäußerung
*schließ*
Schließen
groß*
Groß*
größerer
heißen
Schutzmaßnahmen
*mäßig
außer*
Außer*
weiß
stoßen

Don't you want to replace those with 'ss' too?

All the best,
Thérèse
