Hello LibrePhone team,

My name is Gustavo (FrossGus at #librephone IRC channel), and I'm excited to offer my embedded systems and low-level programming experience to the LibrePhone reverse engineering project.

Technical Skills Relevant to Mobile Reverse Engineering:

Embedded Systems Development: Experience with microcontroller programming and hardware interaction

Low-Level Programming: Deep understanding of system architecture, memory management, and hardware abstraction layers

Binary Analysis: Familiarity with disassembly, debugging, and reverse engineering methodologies

Linux Kernel & Drivers: Knowledge of system-level programming and hardware interface layers

35+ years of progressive technical experience since beginning with assembly and COBOL in the late 80s

Specific Areas Where I Can Contribute:

Analyzing and documenting proprietary binary blobs at the hardware interface level

Reverse engineering driver interfaces and communication protocols

Testing and validation on available mobile hardware platforms

Developing tools to assist with firmware analysis and documentation

Contributing to understanding SoC-specific implementations

The challenge of freeing mobile devices from proprietary blobs aligns perfectly with my technical interests and free software values. I'm particularly interested in the hardware-to-software interface layer where most proprietary components reside.

I'm prepared for the long-term nature of this project and am eager to apply my low-level systems knowledge to this important effort. Please let me know what specific areas or components could benefit from my background.

Thank you for your work on this critical frontier of software freedom.

Best regards,
Gustavo
