Yes, Tiberiu C. Turbureanu and I have raised this point before, and Zak replied on 27-08-2014 15:30:
I think that the guide is still technically correct, but it is
misleading, because by default Enigmail will also save a version
encrypted with the sender's key, that they can read.

I'll make a note to change this next time we do an update to the guide.
