Funny enough, the graphics seem to go directly from master to the live website, so I wounder why can't the translators just update their texts without much overhead; for example, the French translators could put down the fundraiser (to say nothing of updating the versions of the translations in the header). --sm4nu43k4a2Rpi4c Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: Digital signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJWuDG+AAoJEOCs0+DL54dKtwUH/21F7PUDESRfy1O5vuqnoWzO /JckfXEM1kI8WjYlcoY9D3dVv53unLs7/ihLukZelSkRB7nMfBQywa/EBmbK/jCc NxSL0HvnmRnMFKQK08225XQIa8DRbPl64wl3USpkj/Cs8W36glX4SZKBD6NJar+7 g0QIOHZaHwykH2iTP/G2DtPJAjavWUV0vCGh0HSMWfAsoAcOTD186OWtGbWgbaIO DWQ8r8f+OyG6CTcHaNGDOn0g50Z6tljm4pCwT7/9p5QVT6JCOColcSajA8Tk9eV2 DxeewqA97H9gbHkDpSd/QKuLLAivroYsz+MnPKhJvNBN5FBQIxEYR6OCJuKW5bk= =EHJn -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --sm4nu43k4a2Rpi4c-- From MAILER-DAEMON Mon Feb 08 04:18:14 2016 Received: from list by lists.fsf.org with public_archive (Exim 4.71) id 1aShxW-0008PQ-Oa for mharc-esd-translators@fsf.org; Mon, 08 Feb 2016 04:18:14 -0500 Received: from mail.fsf.org ([208.118.235.13]:47252) by lists.fsf.org with esmtp (Exim 4.71) (envelope-from ) id 1aShxQ-0008O7-SP for esd-translators@fsf.org; Mon, 08 Feb 2016 04:18:12 -0500 X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.3.2 (2011-06-06) on mail.fsf.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=0.1 required=5.0 tests=BAYES_50,FREEMAIL_FROM, RCVD_IN_DNSWL_LOW, SPF_PASS, T_DKIM_INVALID autolearn=disabled version=3.3.2 Received: from mail-wm0-f47.google.com ([74.125.82.47]:33382) by mail.fsf.org with esmtps (TLS-1.0:RSA_ARCFOUR_SHA1:16) (Exim 4.69) (envelope-from ) id 1aShxQ-0005UW-KN for esd-translators@fsf.org; Mon, 08 Feb 2016 04:18:08 -0500 Received: by mail-wm0-f47.google.com with SMTP id g62so123725898wme.0 for ; Mon, 08 Feb 2016 01:18:07 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20120113; h=mime-version:sender:in-reply-to:references:from:date:message-id :subject:to:content-type:content-transfer-encoding; bh=2lDQj/wuWtdSx1GQHPzSNMwAIPg2f7LvEbfxmeL/1FQ=; b=SenLTuyzrJzO3BXAOg5xYxt9V8Zxn/Vnx0mPm63EfQ8ceigEC1madPeo53LNxL05B+ 0Nhmwry5+xaN0AGEQYaGVSGPDicfzeJ6eLdWXSZOtRXxVpzXP9rAvriqvQq62ndUBrb/ pXYAgZlQV2KOtA7cAyYjiJ8SVTc+sDxZZiM0aZGj0By5HB0Hbom+lE/bsRkoVhm2VIaJ Q1IU3WSjLBJY6mY/jxTKnFZ2EtEgPMf3/k9Fcd+1yX+xTjrmih+B+NKQioBtFBBZ+dC6 uPQjFiNeE6VgB7ijyVBx6iMMl6arwHEqffEJYsH2k1xos8cph9bdT9Sq/h0DDOYO84hv C8bA== X-Google-DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=1e100.net; s=20130820; h=x-gm-message-state:mime-version:sender:in-reply-to:references:from :date:message-id:subject:to:content-type:content-transfer-encoding; bh=2lDQj/wuWtdSx1GQHPzSNMwAIPg2f7LvEbfxmeL/1FQ=; b=Tqiy2/Pw8k24z2LPBnu9/iS21yfB2lZDHW4HQF2QwGYC5rIU//4NZ5tB2oq9J1nXnA BN0JEecB7eI3nqjCtK99SUbtT/HteD99Fm92AcQLAIOVDo5Wy10+Xr4nasfRx4f2SHew oqIhYOnwXVVVdQOzaqxx4L+DYzHvMjLTzhOTLbNVn4waXUgWhCnnhMLmolDXWuJuGL+F snTIp0gflDs2R5bNhRjerRrmpo6GvQ7stR2StWbhQGBGm6UUlBJjZv4TSziwxK2jxqSi Kl4PJjC0qocvpqVlUJrMzG4sirw/QpuLfoGd4aai9A4yvK1bPucMcE7wwh8qtWxpOUQS 5p6Q== X-Gm-Message-State: AG10YOSIhsRgrATR/4jH9Rdzg61q6fvA1cq4mJzoRrZEZp9VE1TDMBznbx1rx3RDWBSbjV2UhkPEgTZ/bNb7fw== X-Received: by 10.194.192.71 with SMTP id he7mr31259486wjc.82.1454923086528; Mon, 08 Feb 2016 01:18:06 -0800 (PST) MIME-Version: 1.0 Sender: tekrei@gmail.com Received: by 10.194.113.98 with HTTP; Mon, 8 Feb 2016 01:17:47 -0800 (PST) In-Reply-To: References: From: =?UTF-8?B?VC4gRS4gS2FsYXljxLE=?= Date: Mon, 8 Feb 2016 10:17:47 +0100 X-Google-Sender-Auth: K_1-qwMlrPbOloMogzSWxlpyKZ8 Message-ID: To: esd-translators@fsf.org Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-detected-operating-system: by mail.fsf.org: GNU/Linux 2.2.x-3.x [generic] [fuzzy] Subject: Re: [ESD-translators] [TR] Guide's Turkish translation is updated to v4.0 X-BeenThere: esd-translators@fsf.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.13 Precedence: list List-Id: List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Mon, 08 Feb 2016 09:18:12 -0000 Dear friends, I've performed small updates on Turkish translation to solve some problems (like wrong menu display), but I couldn't see them on live version. I assumed it would be published together with the Russian and Turkish versions, and fixed the language lists accordingly. The pages look OK locally, but seeing a preview on a test server would be nice. What's wrong with https://enc-dev0.fsf.org/? (I also tried http:// but there seems to be a redirection to https). I was wondering if somebody wanted to do a quick scripting project to make it easy for us to update all the language selectors and keep them up-to-date. The goal is to make a script that allows us to add or remove a language from the dropdown menu, and have it propagated across all languages. We already have one called toggle-lang (which lives in the root directory of the repo) that comments and uncomments existing languages, but it doesn't provide the functionality we need anymore. Probably the easiest way is just for our script to take as an input a file with the prewritten HTML for the whole language dropdown, but however you'd like to do it is fine with me. On most of the languages, the current language name is bolded and dilinkified to mark it as active, but this isn't necessary for the first version of the script. If you'd like to work on this, please develop and test it in a new branch in development repository. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! --=20 Zak Rogoff // Campaigns Manager Free Software Foundation PS -- I know Therese already made a nice templating system that many of you are using to build your indvidual translations. If anybody has a separate proposal for using the same templating system to accomplish this new task, that's welcome, but not at all necessary. Generating the individual translated guides and setting the language options across all pages on all of them do naturally seem like different tasks. =2E.. now to actually set up the English translation with the templating system, which I have been putting off... --IGOqRrtpwDRqQXEBLGv9INWpDlg9awKVD Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 Comment: Using GnuPG with Icedove - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQEcBAEBCAAGBQJWxOBYAAoJEILejWS1CQrIBIMH/2x2jksSppOgbSEQt2F4OHfr ZhRKctwa+xslbl8iiYjt9ojFHpdJrafoovbNcbzJw27m+0bCDiYojJ0dQQ8qwDty FaaSAb19114ZbtwycacV43l3hHldoWn/yUbbsvJqyA0Fj4yTpROGhi6o9SdrVf8D uIqQydvm0zfm3/XfQch4D7GWqbnkwyYJ6FvuAk3vSg/Hut11yhXU15f/izwd8JEv 5cfVBuP3IuetFVgNU8AIJ8xTvs/5MV+rX4YRqUGQrh5TLm1h5Z7xeYOpf+UkPUbx WMJmCHwuosahEEec1g5tdt9rr1ms3bq5uTdFoiLCNqIfgFwL0C5fd9Hr73eWXng= =Y9E1 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --IGOqRrtpwDRqQXEBLGv9INWpDlg9awKVD-- From MAILER-DAEMON Wed Feb 17 16:22:45 2016 Received: from list by lists.fsf.org with public_archive (Exim 4.71) id 1aW9Yb-0000kH-OF for mharc-esd-translators@fsf.org; Wed, 17 Feb 2016 16:22:45 -0500 Received: from mail.fsf.org ([208.118.235.13]:36936) by lists.fsf.org with esmtp (Exim 4.71) (envelope-from ) id 1aW9YW-0000k6-4V for esd-translators@fsf.org; Wed, 17 Feb 2016 16:22:45 -0500 X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.3.2 (2011-06-06) on mail.fsf.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=-0.1 required=5.0 tests=BAYES_00,FREEMAIL_FROM, RCVD_IN_DNSWL_LOW, RECEIVED_FROM_WINDOWS_HOST autolearn=disabled version=3.3.2 Received: from smtp5-g21.free.fr ([212.27.42.5]:12921) by mail.fsf.org with esmtps (TLS-1.0:DHE_RSA_AES_256_CBC_SHA1:32) (Exim 4.69) (envelope-from ) id 1aW9YV-0005fu-RF for esd-translators@fsf.org; Wed, 17 Feb 2016 16:22:40 -0500 Received: from [IPv6:2a01:e35:8b11:e020:c92f:50c2:c64d:598] (unknown [IPv6:2a01:e35:8b11:e020:c92f:50c2:c64d:598]) by smtp5-g21.free.fr (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 162A0D48127 for ; Wed, 17 Feb 2016 22:19:43 +0100 (CET) To: esd-translators@fsf.org References: <56C4E055.4060701@fsf.org> From: =?UTF-8?B?VGjDqXLDqHNlIEdvZGVmcm95?= X-Enigmail-Draft-Status: N1110 Message-ID: <56C4E49B.8010403@free.fr> Date: Wed, 17 Feb 2016 22:22:35 +0100 User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Icedove/38.5.0 MIME-Version: 1.0 In-Reply-To: <56C4E055.4060701@fsf.org> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-detected-operating-system: by mail.fsf.org: Windows NT kernel [generic] [fuzzy] Subject: Re: [ESD-translators] A little scripting/programming project for Email Self-Defense X-BeenThere: esd-translators@fsf.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.13 Precedence: list List-Id: List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 17 Feb 2016 21:22:45 -0000 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Le 17/02/2016 22:04, Zak Rogoff a =C3=A9crit : [...] > The goal is to make a script that allows us to add or remove a > language from the dropdown menu, and have it propagated across all > languages. Probably not. Anyway, to take advantage of MultiViews, the links should be: https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.html I just added them, and also made several minor fixes. This will save Zak a few minutes. > and another question, when you click on it, the links open in the > same tab in your browser, I think that would be better open it in > another tab by default (IMO) I think that's debatable. For example, Abrowser has an option that says (in French): "Whenever a link opens in a new tab, switch to this tab immediately". It turns out that in my system this option is unchecked, probably by default. As a result, I switch to the new tabs by hand, and sometimes get mixed up when 10 tabs are open. I find it more convenient to read the linked page in the same tab. When I am done, I return to the original page with the "back" button.
